Decorating Our Tree

We decorated our Christmas tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving I just haven't posted pictures yet.
We blared some Carebears Christmas music and Cody unwrapped all the ornaments.
We had some special helpers over for supper so the supervised the tree decorating :)
(Cody's sister Brandee and Bf Mike)
I guess we were boring to Easton, he slept the whole time.
 My three LOVES!!!

I am happy to admit that I wrapped the kiddos presents today and even though I'm still paranoid (see previous post) they are under our tree.

Were you one of those kids?

Ya'know one of those kids that ruined Christmas for their mom and OPENED their presents before Christmas? I may have been one of those kids. And because I may have been one of those kids I am paranoid that my kiddos Emma will open her presents and seeing as she can't read who knows what gift she would open. And since I'm paranoid about it I wrapped all the presents and put them upstairs in my room. This didn't make my kiddos very happy so I toyed around with wrapping fake presents on a trial bases (if they left them alone I would bring out the real ones) But the thought of wrapping gifts for no reason didn't sound fun. So my new plan was to wrap a book for the 25 days to Christmas. You could buy new books but since I'm cheap we wrapped ones we already had. I debated getting some from the library but I thought they would want to keep them.

This is what you need...

Wrapping paper, tape, scissors, a marker or tag, books and a cute little helper.
I put whatever number it was, that many times on the package so they could count it:)

This is when I lost my little helper. Honestly I didn't want him to see all the books I picked anyways :)
Ta Dah! I alternated a non Christmas book and Christmas books since I didn't have enough just Christmas. And I of course ended with Twas The Night Before Christmas.

Food Co-op

My friend Ashley and I are in a Food Co-op, whats a food co-op? Let me tell you, A food co-op is where on Tuesdays I make two of whatever I'm making for supper one for my family and one for Ashley's. Then Ashley comes and picks up her hot ready to eat main course. On Thursdays Ashley makes two of whatever she's making for supper and  I Cody picks it up on his way home. The theory behind it is we both get a day off from cooking normally on a day we are busy (Ashley's daughter is at dance Tuesdays and Everett has Wrestling Thursdays) and its pretty easy to just double your recipe to make two of something when you already have everything out. We both have items on our "no thank you" list that our families just don't like, someones list might be a little longer than others lol but I think she's getting use to our my pickiness!

I try and make a new recipe on the day I cook for their family just to spice it up. Some have been good some have been horrible! Last night I made this Sgetty Braid, I would give it 4 out of 5 stars if you add more sauce. Here is the recipe, I tweaked it a little by chopping up spinach and hiding it in the sauce mixture, I added Garlic Powder to the top (whats GARLIC bread without the GARLIC silly!), and instead of the Sausage I used lean hamburger, and like I said I recommend more than the 1cup of sauce.

Okay go find your partner for a food co-op and check back every week to see what new recipe I found :)

One Little, Two Little, Three Little Snowmen

I won't tell how many pictures I had to take of these three snowmen before I gave up I found one that would work.
I'm still debating weather I will send out Christmas Cards or not but I thought I would attempt a picture while everyone was in a good mood.

If only Easton was looking in this picture!

Like the shirts? I made them check them out on My Fan Page :)

Wrapping Paper Craft

Again, with my addiction to Pintrest, If you don't know Pintrest is a site were people "pin"/post things that they like off of other websites. I love Pintrest for the craft ideas and recipes. I saw this kid craft idea on Pintrest and wanted to do it. Plus my friend Angie did it with her kiddos and MADE these cute sponges so i borrowed them from her :)

What you will need to do this simple craft is, paint (we used washable crayola paint), sponges (you can either find them at a craft store or cut shapes out of kitchen sponges like Angie did), and wrapping paper(craft stores do sell plain white paper but we just used the back side of Dollar Store wrapping paper)
Then just let the kiddos go crazy with stamping. When we were all done I let the kiddos smear their hand in the paint to make hand prints. We plan on wrapping some gifts for a couple special people with this colorful paper :)
