Lighted Express

The Lighted Express came threw CC last week. I took the big kiddos to see it and see Santa and his friends. This train would have been awesome at night, during the day I'm  not sure it was worth it. It was freezing that day the bank said 16degrees, yup pretty crazy of us to go but the kiddos enjoyed it :)

The most awesomest Christmas Site yet!

At mops today our coordinator told us about Portable North Pole, its a site where you enter your kiddos info and Santa sends them a video email back. I may have teared up watching the magic in Everett's eyes as he watched. He would talk to Santa like he could hear him and told Cody when he got home that he Skyped with Santa. I love love love this time of year! the website is www.portablenorthpole.tv

Again with debating our Christmas cards. I have a billion pics of Everett and Easton but not so many of Everett just smiling by himself. That was are mission today...I donno if we were successful.

He Reminds me of when he was younger here!
My golmer!

Mom, I'm sick of this!

See why he has a bunch of pictures with his siblings...he's so much more natural with them :)

OKAY GO MAKE YOUR VIDEO NOW!!

Lunch Date

Emma had a little play date with her friend since birth, Ambree.  We thought we would spice it up a bit and go to the New Hampton McDonald's Play Place.
Who doesn't love a happy meal?
I realized when setting up Everett's play date for Friday that Emma never gets play dates with her friends, so she was very excited to bring Ambree with us. They jabbered in the back seat the whole way to McDonald's.

Look at Emma's long legs we all know she didn't get that from me!
One final photo with Ronald.

Decorating Our Tree

We decorated our Christmas tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving I just haven't posted pictures yet.
We blared some Carebears Christmas music and Cody unwrapped all the ornaments.
We had some special helpers over for supper so the supervised the tree decorating :)
(Cody's sister Brandee and Bf Mike)
I guess we were boring to Easton, he slept the whole time.
 My three LOVES!!!

I am happy to admit that I wrapped the kiddos presents today and even though I'm still paranoid (see previous post) they are under our tree.

Were you one of those kids?

Ya'know one of those kids that ruined Christmas for their mom and OPENED their presents before Christmas? I may have been one of those kids. And because I may have been one of those kids I am paranoid that my kiddos Emma will open her presents and seeing as she can't read who knows what gift she would open. And since I'm paranoid about it I wrapped all the presents and put them upstairs in my room. This didn't make my kiddos very happy so I toyed around with wrapping fake presents on a trial bases (if they left them alone I would bring out the real ones) But the thought of wrapping gifts for no reason didn't sound fun. So my new plan was to wrap a book for the 25 days to Christmas. You could buy new books but since I'm cheap we wrapped ones we already had. I debated getting some from the library but I thought they would want to keep them.

This is what you need...

Wrapping paper, tape, scissors, a marker or tag, books and a cute little helper.
I put whatever number it was, that many times on the package so they could count it:)

This is when I lost my little helper. Honestly I didn't want him to see all the books I picked anyways :)
Ta Dah! I alternated a non Christmas book and Christmas books since I didn't have enough just Christmas. And I of course ended with Twas The Night Before Christmas.

Wrapping Paper Craft

Again, with my addiction to Pintrest, If you don't know Pintrest is a site were people "pin"/post things that they like off of other websites. I love Pintrest for the craft ideas and recipes. I saw this kid craft idea on Pintrest and wanted to do it. Plus my friend Angie did it with her kiddos and MADE these cute sponges so i borrowed them from her :)

What you will need to do this simple craft is, paint (we used washable crayola paint), sponges (you can either find them at a craft store or cut shapes out of kitchen sponges like Angie did), and wrapping paper(craft stores do sell plain white paper but we just used the back side of Dollar Store wrapping paper)
Then just let the kiddos go crazy with stamping. When we were all done I let the kiddos smear their hand in the paint to make hand prints. We plan on wrapping some gifts for a couple special people with this colorful paper :)

Summer Fun

Everett and Emma's friends Kyler and Kaylee came over to go swimming and play on the slip and slide. It was one of those REALLY hot days out where even I was excited to get in the pool. No one else wanted to slip and slide with Kaylee so she suckered me into doing it with her. My core muscles HATED me the next day but it was still fun :)

They love putting the doggie pool at the bottom of the slide

I'm not so sure this swing is rated for this many kids but they had a blast and no one got hurt, so I will call it a success :)

In Case your wondering It goes Emma 2, Rett 4, Kaylee 6, Kyler 4 (2weeks younger than Rett)

The funny thing about this picture is Kaylee wanted a picture alone, and is completely clueless to the fact that these two snuck in.

Rett Riding His Bike

Everett was finally big enough for his "big boy bike" that Grandma Jackie got him for his 2nd Birthday. He was so proud of himself going up and down the sidewalk. He may or may not have wiped out a couple times due to this bike going faster so in Everett words he was "taking it easy" when I was recording him. In the video he is saying he wants to ride his bike when he goes tick or treating, "kids will say here comes Woody on the bike." (He wants to be Woody from Toy Story for Halloween. Emma wants to be Jessie or Everett told me that Emma wants to be Jessie and I thought it was a great idea :) )

Preschool Open House

Well it's that time of year, school is starting. Everett will be back in the Tuesday/Thursday class at Saint Johns. I'm not as sad about his going as I was last year because I know how much he loves it. I think he has matured alot since last year so that will help a lot. Everett has begun asking why TO EVERYTHING, so Kudos to any teacher who can stand having 21 kids ask them WHY! :)

Trying to make it even.

Emma playing with the blocks (Emma was in Heaven the whole time)

Rett said this chair is Awesome!

Emma found the puzzles, yes she finished this one it was for ages 3 & up :)

This is one of those things you look in and see pictures I didn't know they still made them.
And I love the little loft thing they have on the left side, I want one in our basement:)
These were awesome

Rett & Zach built a "fort"

There is a lot of kids in Rett's class that I know the parents but Everett doesn't know anyone. That makes me a little nervous, but he didn't know anyone last year either and still had fun so it should be fine. Zach, Everett's bff is in the PM class instead of the AM like Rett.

Toy Story 3

Everett & I went to Toy Story 3 last week. Everett had been dieing to see it but I prefer to see the movies at our local theater. It's $1 for Rett to get in and $2 for me that is so much cheaper than going to Mason City and seeing it right away. Everett really liked it but said it was a little sad. I thought it was cute but the other two were better. I forgot to take pictures while we were at the theater but I forgot. Everett and I got all dressed up for our Mommy-Son date, It was fun :)

So this is what you get for pictures from that night, just us being goofy ;)

Emma's Birthday

For Emma's birthday we waited to give her, her presents until Cody got home from work. Did I mention our AC quit working the day before? Our thermostat was at 86 degrees and all the kids were miserable. The plus to the AC going out was Cody left work early so then Emma's didn't have to wait as long to open her presents. And Cody fixed the Air.... that should have been present enough :)

Can you see how hot they were :(

Everett went to Kmart with me the day before her Birthday and picked out this Play Doh thing...She loved it :)

We got her this Little Leaps Fridge Animals thingy. ALL!!! Of our friends have either this one or the ABC one so we felt left out:) Side note see the profile in the upper right corner? It's Rett but doesn't it look just like me? I actually thought it was me for a second.

Of Course they had to play with the Play Doh afterwards :)

Then we went to my parents' house for supper.
Rett's face in this picture is priceless!

Don't you love the candle?

Present Time :)
