That's what you get for not wearing gloves!

Some friends and I decided to get together last week and make some tie dyed shirts. We had a BLAST, even the little kids got involved in the dipping of their shirts. There were quite a few of us making shirts we had Ashley, Camden, and Ambree; Cassie and Aubrey; Julie, Zach and Cole; Steph, Jacy, Kaylee, and Kyler; and Me, Everett, ALi,and Emma. The only problem we had was we should have assigned someone to bring gloves because we all had dyed hands for Story Time the next day!

Of course it was worht it and of course I will sign him up again next year. On the final day they did the kids evaulations and then they have free play the rest of the time. All Everett did was go down the slide!

The Kiddos Party

Since I'm very far behind on blogging I guess I will start with the kiddos birthday party. We had the party in the back yard again, it seams to work out pretty well that way. It was so hot that we asked all the kids friends to bring swimsuits so they could swim. It was a blast, thank you to everyone that came, it really means a lot to Cody, the kids and I.

Their Cakes, Emma had Little Mermaid & Rett had Toy Story

Camping At River Ranch

Cody wanted to go camping last weekend, but I wanted to make sure the kiddos got to see the fireworks. So camping close by was our meeting in the middle :) Normally we camp at the city park in Nashua, the one right on the lake. But this time we camped at the one out in the country. I really really liked this campground because it wasn't as crowded as the city park and they had a lot of activies you could do like: renting "fun" carts, renting paddle boats, and if you want to tube they will drop you off so you can float back to camp. Friday night our friend Megan, Everett and I rented a paddle boat and took it for a little cruise. When we were getting off the "dock", the dock moved and I fell butt first into the water. Pretty funny actually because the only way I agree to go was in I didn't have to get in the nasty pond water.

Then it was time to make smores....

Emma didn't really want to roast her marshmallow, she kept saying Hot. Which is fine with me, I would rather her want nothing to do with the fire!

Then it was Everett's turn

What a "pro"

A lil burnt for my liking, but hey :)

Emma wasn't a fan of the smore, she liked the plain marshmallow better

Retters liked it until...

He got sticky.

Then it was time for bed, I was a little worried how they would sleep with them both being in the same "room." I put Emma in a pack n play (that she can crawl out of) and Rett slept on the fold out couch. But they did fine both night, Saturday morning Cody and I were woken up by them giggling at each other :)

How sweet :)

On Saturday Craig and Jackie took the kids for a little while and us adults went floating down the river. It was just what we needed nothing beats laying in the river getting a tan on a hot day. After tubing the boys went fishing and Megan and I went floating in the Cedar Lake. Then supper and the fireworks.

When we woke up Sunday it was raining so we pretty much packed up and came home. It was a GREAT weekend, Everett asked if he could like in the camper forever!?!?

The Fireworks

The Fireworks for Charles City were postponed until last Saturday, due to rain on the 4th. We went to the Sonne's to watch them, they had a perfect view. I still miss the fireworks over the river though, we couldn't hear the loud BOOM from where we were sitting :(. It was quite the process to get the kids to stay awake until the fireworks at 10:00! We were camping all weekend in Nashua so they were pretty pooped by 9:00, but we go them there. Once we were there they loved it. Emma would clap and say pretty. Everett was also sad he couldn't hear the boom, but he still had fun!

Cuddling with Daddy

"look prettttty"

Zach & Rett being their normal silly selves :)

This picture would be sooooo cute if a stupid skeeter wouldn't have bitten her eye!!!(don't u just wanna pick her up and squeeze her :) )

Happy Birthday Retters

It's been four wonderful years, I can't believe how fast its gone. The above picture proves that love is blind because I truly believed that he was the cutest baby I had ever seen, now I think he looks like an alien :)

We give the kids their birthday presents on the day of there birthday as apposed to their birthday party. Normally we wait to open presents until Cody gets home from work, but yesterday Cody got the bright idea that he wanted to wake Retters up. Cody leaves for work at 6:15, at the earliest Everett wakes up at 7:15. I felt kinda of cruel with holding presents from Everett and on the other hand giving Everett presents and Cody not being able to be there. So at 6:15 AM we snuck into Everett's room with the Buzz Light Year toy he has requested EVERYDAY for a month. Cody started pushing the buttons to make noise and Retters snored away. Cody tickled his feet and he still stayed sleeping. It was when we went to give up that he realised what was going on. He has been running around with Buzz ever since, guess he's not tired as of now but we will see how the rest of his day goes :)

This morning with his new Buzz Light Year!

Happy Birthday Big Guy we love you!!!!!

Swimming Lessons

Everett started swimming lesson on the 7th, they go until the 23rd. It is every weekday from 11:45 to 12:10. Everett loves it! We are aloud to watch swimming lessons and Emma does soooo good with sitting in her stroller the whole time. She just watches Everett and yells "bubba" (that's what she calls Everett) when she sees him. Right now they are learning how to kick in the water and how to put their face in the water. I will be happy when I don't have to get two four year olds ready for swimming lessons every day!

Picking Black Raspberries

We had black raspberry bushes at our house growing up. When we moved into our house Cody and I planted some. Everett thinks they are there so he can have a snack when he is outside.
He wanted to pick some for daddy
He may have eaten more than he put in the bowl!
He walked around with purple hands the rest of the day.
Luckily it came off his face :)

The Parade

For the Parade we always sit with Cody's family. It works out very nicely because we can just show up moments before and have a spot instead of having to search and search for a spot! That and having a couple extra people to entertain Emma is always great :o)

Cody's cousin Katie is on the right side second flag

Two more of Cody's cousins are in this picture :) (Brooke & Abby)

Adryana came to sit with Everett also.
